Anger Management Program

Are you struggling to control your anger and looking for effective ways to improve your emotional well-being and relationships?

If so, the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) offer an anger management program uniquely designed with a step-by-step process that helps participants develop a positive self-image, improve relationships, and change unhealthy behaviors through the implementation of 8 core skills for managing emotions.

Topics covered include recognizing stress, learning how to respond instead of reacting, developing empathy and acceptance, healing damaged relationships, and much more.

The program is available in two formats: Clients can participate in the program in a group or individually (1:1 with a clinician) for the 12 weeks, or the one-day, 8-hour session. Clients will complete an assessment beforehand. Since the program is educational, it is not covered by insurance. Here is a link for further details and contact information about the LICADD Anger Management Program. The cost is $40 per session for the 12-week groups, and $200 for the one-day, 8-hour course.

In addition to the LICADD Anger Management Program, if you currently participate in the health plan of one of our member welfare funds, our staff would be happy to help you find an individual in-network mental health provider for anger management. Give us a call at 800-433-4TCS (4827) to start the process.
